Hikaru, your latest chapter gives a whole new meaning to the term 'on the edge' not to mention 'cliffhanger'. Dang it anyway. Can't give us loyal readers a break, can ya? You want to see us loose it? Well, it's working incredibly well. I just hope that I can withstand waiting a week for chapter 40. Of course, from what you've said in your production notes it doesn't sound like it'll be much easier on our nerves. Oh well. At least we all know where we can get our thrill read of the week. Now, for the prolonged waiting period between chapters in which I shall attempt to remain sane. Good day to you Hikaru. >^.^<

Hey BEL, you think YOU have it tough! *I*, as one of Hikaru's editors, have to tell him that, "NO, you can't DO that!" and "She/he wouldn't SAY that!" and "If you insist on doing THIS, it affects THAT scene in a way that you'll really regret!" Oh, the pain of it all... Hikaru may be a big bear, but he's FAST on his feet. The sessions are often bloody, brutal and tough to survive, and it takes us two editors an entire WEEK to recover---IF we're lucky! Hikaru's a harsh taskmaster, I tell you---a real *bear*...

Umm.. If anything around here was getting bruised and bloodied, I think it was the text in Chapter 39. I sent you a nice, healthy (relatively speaking) chapter, and got back this poor, abused collection of words that had all sorts of red stuff strewn all through it.
For heavens sake, Jim, you gutted my chapter! Don't blame me for them little bumps and bruises you may have gotten in the process. *chuckles*
Yah, if it wasn't for Jim and Coyote, these chapters wouldn't be anywhere nearly as readable as they are now.

They'll never know, Hikaru-san, how very LITTLE we EDs do to earn our weekly abuse. If the story wasn't already "there", nothing we two peons could do would make it work. YOU, Sirrah, do the REAL work; we just get to go "HA!" and "Hey! She can't DO that!" and "Oh, no you don't!" and other "editor-type" things. From my co-editor and myself, we THANK you!
