Damn... Pretty quiet in here.
That it is. I check in here about everyday, but just don't have much to say. I like your latest chapter btw. One aspect that I really like is how you develop the characters. For example, Arden may have come a long way since the story began, but he still is not a master of the power he has attained and has several flaws. I like the reality of it unlike how some stories are written where the main character starts out realistic, but then over time becomes almost perfect. It's very well done. Can't wait for the next chapter.
I, for one, *reaally* want to know what ZZ is doing in jail...

If you think about what happened at the end of Act I, then you'll have a good clue as to why ZZ's in jail. I haven't quite figured out quite how or IF I'm going to get her out of this.
However, if you remember the story, Michael Jones (owned by Marten Pederson) is the detective that was working on Arden's "John Doe" history. We've talked a little bit about the short story that he's going to write based on IC that will take place while Sheila and Arden are gone. Right now it's kind of up to him to get ZZ out of her predicament.
I will fill in some of the gaps as to why she's in jail in the next chapter.
The funky part of all this is, I didn't plan on it happening. It just occurred to me as I was writing the section where Sheila was wondering what ZZ was up too.
Gotta love unexpected plot complications, eh?
