Trygve Henriksen | Thursday, November 02, 2000 - 11:30 pm Well... One thing's for certain, you know how to write a cliffhanger... Expect hits on your page to skyrocket since I'm going to have to check your page 3 times or more each day to get the next chapter as soon as you post it. So writes the Longhaired Viking |
Hikaru Katayamma (Hikaru) | Saturday, November 04, 2000 - 04:49 am Actually, I wrote Ch 16 and Ch 17 as one BIG chapter, but realized just how huge it had gotten and cut it in half. It just so happens that the half way point made for a good cliff-hanger. Ciao Hikaru |
Trygve Henriksen | Saturday, November 04, 2000 - 06:19 am You know, your chapters aren't THAT big... They barely reach 5 or 6 pages when I print them out (on the office laser :-) Some others, like Sabrina the Story or Zig Zag the Story, often reach 15 or 20 pages... If I have to choose between Quality or Quantity, then I can only say 'yes please'... So says the Longhaired Viking before speeding off to visit his parents for the weekend... |
Hikaru Katayamma (Hikaru) | Saturday, November 04, 2000 - 11:58 am True, but then again, how often do new chapters post to Sabrina and Zig Zag. I generally post 2 or 3 chapters a week where they only publish 1 chapter ever 2 weeks. Now I could simply save up and publish one BIG chapter ever two weeks, but would you really want that? As much as I love ZZ and Sabrina, having to wait drives me up the wall. Mind you that's not a derogatory comment as to Chris or James' writing style, it's just my personal opinion. Since I've been swamped with work of late, it's been hard to find the time to squeeze chapters in. I'm barely keeping ahead of the curve enough for my editor to get a chapter back to me in time for it to be published. Besides, it did make for a great cliff hangar, eh? :D Hikaru |
Ghostwolf | Sunday, November 05, 2000 - 10:14 pm I just have to say, only having found your site a few days ago, that this is some of the best suff I have read in a long time. So now the only other thing I have to say is::PUT IN A BOOK, PUT IT IN A BOOK, I'LL BUY IT, PUT IT IN A BOOK, PUT IT IN A BOOK, I'LL BUT IT HARD BOUND, PUT IT IN A BOOK,PLEASE!?!?!?!? |
CheFox | Sunday, November 05, 2000 - 11:44 pm Not gonna happen I'm afraid, this story is based on a FanFic which is based on the works of three authors, one of those authors wrote a fanfic based on the work of two other authors. In other words copywrite laws would make it virtually impossible. |
Ghostwolf | Monday, November 06, 2000 - 12:25 am *sighs* Oh well, I can wish all I want I Suppose. guess that means I just have to keep reading this Grovy great good Stuff on-line then..at least I have that. |
Hikaru Katayamma (Hikaru) | Monday, November 06, 2000 - 04:53 pm If, and I do mean a BIG IF, Eric and Max BR both gave me permission to rewrite the story and turn it into a book, then believe me I'd jump at the chance. As for James' character, he would pose a problem. Although I didn't use him much, he was "let's keep this realistic" anchor to the story. The person who always looked at Arden and asked himself WTF? I've had people ask if there was some bad blood between James and myself, I've always maintained (and will continue to do so) that there's no bad blood. If I were to get permission from EWS and MBR, then I'd hope that James would be interested in joining the club. If not, I'm sure I could find a way around his character. Chris's character on the other hand, wasn't used much in the story. I had planned to have him and Arden have a long talk about the future for Chris and Sabrina, but it never materialized. I suppose if I rewrote the story for a book I might add that in. Of course this is all just a pipe-dream, but it's a pretty good pipe-dream. :D Hikaru |
