Hikaru Katayamma (Hikaru) | Tuesday, October 31, 2000 - 10:58 am I have every intention to continue the story. John's commented to me that he's always wanted to do more with Yin, so this gives one outlet for that to happen. Who knows? If the story proves to be popular enough (with the Gneech), you might actually see Arden drop in again without my having to pay for it. Hikaru |
LionkingCMSL | Tuesday, October 31, 2000 - 02:01 pm Hikaru, LionkingCMSL from the SJ Message Board checking in. :=3 Thought I'd let you know that I thought the story was great. Can't wait for more "Chapters" to be written. I'll agree with you that "Arden" may show up again in the SJ Universe un-announced, as it would give the Gneech another character to use from time to time. ;=3 Again, great story. :=3 |
TimberBram | Tuesday, October 31, 2000 - 05:40 pm I've read your "Identity Crisis" story and have been impressed. I find your Yin story equally good. I hope you do write more chapters. Peace, Tim Bram. |
Nebulous Rikulau | Tuesday, October 31, 2000 - 09:05 pm And another Jungloid checks in... I like it. I really felt for Yin when she said, "You can't wipe my memory. Not after letting me experience guacamole!" I've just started to read the rest of the stories. So far, so good. |

Oh ya! I asked John what kind of foods would Yin go for if she could eat anything. His response was:
Quote:I'm thinking guacamole with oat bran or humus or some similar Berkeley-food type of thing.
Which of course set up the PERFECT way for Yin to beg for her memories. It doesn't hurt that Arden's a big softie either. Hikaru |
Trygve Henriksen | Wednesday, November 01, 2000 - 12:50 am What can I say? Other han Grrrreeeeat! that is... I too loved the part about guacamole. But I think that the best line was the last one, where she is considering burgers... So said the Longhaired Viking |
Hikaru Katayamma (Hikaru) | Wednesday, November 01, 2000 - 12:02 pm Ya... Originally I was just going to have her look forward to Italian. (Italian being my favorite food.) But then it occurred to me, she's NEVER even tasted anything other than bamboo until this story. So not having even tasted anything else, how would you choose what to eat? Obviously, you'd go for what's most popular. Everyone raves about Italian. Chinese is even more popular than Italian, and there's a burger joint on almost every corner. Made sense to me and sure made for a more entertaining ending to the story Hikaru |
Melanie Selracor | Friday, November 03, 2000 - 01:13 pm I thought Yin's story has a great deal of promise in it, not to mention a whole lot of fun! Keep writing, Hikaru, and please, don't hesitate to do the outrageous, the unexpected, and the downright silly. Sometimes there things are far more fun than normality could ever be. |
Svartalf | Monday, November 06, 2000 - 08:40 pm Well, well... I read Yin's story (being a Jungaloid, I can't pass up reading about SJ's resident SpaceCase... ) Cool work. Can't wait to see more of it or the original IC. Keep it coming, man! |
