Markwhite (Markwhite) | Monday, June 18, 2001 - 04:53 pm The Doctor flashed the light passed her eyes one more time then put his flashlight away. "Well you seem to be doing extremely well health wise. All except your memory problem. How do you feel when walking?" "Pretty good. Although my tail seems to have a mind of its own." She didn't find walking hard just the fact that all she saw was black and white fur, still made her nervous. "Well it's a pretty big one and they tend to do that. If you wouldn't mind I'd like you to walk across the floor for me, I want to see how your balance is." Sabrina did as the doctor said and did a few stretches for him. "Wonderful Sabrina just wonderful, you know I think I can could let you out for an afternoon with your parents. That's if they don't object, but that's up to them. If you feel up to it I will sign your papers to let you out for the day. The fresh air will do you good." "Thank you Doctor." "Well its nice to see you have recovered so well. I'll have a talk with your parents when they come in." The doctor smiled as he left and she went back to sleep, it was way to early for her. "You look wonderful dear." Said Margrette staring at her daughter. She was so happy to have her back again. All this time she feared that her daughter would never awaken to speak to her again. But now everything was fine, well not everything but she was alive. "Sorry they aren't your own clothes but they are not available to us yet." "That's ok they fit fine." Said Sabrina, as the doctor promised she had a day pass. She was leaving the hospital and soon she should have time to hop back to her own world for help. "We have to make a stop before we go home. If you don't feel well just tell us we can cancel our trip for today." "Ok Mom." She said this with a bit of hesitation and Margrette picked up on it immediately. "Yes dear, I'm your mother and these are my friends Endora and, Kathren." "Hi, sorry my memory is not working so good, names and faces really don't mean very much to me at the moment." She began to cry, it was something she thought would make the scene more believable. Margrette hugged her daughter with so much love that it could be felt by everyone around. "Its ok baby you've been through a lot, the accident hurt you in ways we don't understand. But we are here for you now, you can count on that." Sabrina hugged back and in a way she felt that this was her mother. But also lurking in her conscious was the fact that she hated the fact that this was all a charade. It was something she didn't like doing but she couldn't think of any other way at the moment. She had screamed and screamed but for now she remained silent. Her throat was now raw from the ordeal. The witch Sabrina hadn't come but she needed her now. She guessed it was her own fault for not trusting her. Now it seems she was left to her own fate, which was not one she would have chose for herself. The ship was again silent with no one in sight then she heard a horrible noise and ship lurched to one side throwing her off balance. Oh NO! She thought, she knew what had just happened and now it was only a matter of time. The ship was beginning to sink with her on board and her with no way off. She began to cry and began to call out Sabrina's name again, again all in vain. Margrette could have screamed when she read the sign. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT PLEASE CALL-555-8462 IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. SINCERELY EDITH BADGER. "I'm going to scream." Margrette's face was actually blushing through her fur. "Margrette calm down we have the paper from Christine all we need to do is call the number listed." Endora said as she looked through her purse for her cell phone. She found it and dialed, she waited and then a friendly voice answered. "Hello Erin speaking how may I help you." "Yes we are at Parks Manor and we were wondering if we could speak to the new manager, the sign on the door gave us this number." "Yes that would be Miss Zig Zag, one moment and I'll see if she is free." Endora couldn't believe that she took over so quickly. The phone crackled and a familiar voice interjected. "Hello, how can I help you?" "Zig Zag this Endora, Sabrina's mother." "Endora how nice to hear from you, my secretary says you're over at the Manor. How can I help you?" "We need access to one of the apartments but we need you to accompany us to the apartment to see if everything is in order. At least that's what the official documents say." "Sure I can be over there in about half-hour." Her first duty as a Manager, kinda cool she thought. Ah.. did you want to speak to Sabrina she's here with a friend?" Ah Sabrina and Cheetaur made it to the studio that's interesting. "Sure put her on." Endora was surprised to hear that. In a moment another familiar voice came through loud and clear. "Hi Mom, funny coincidence isn't it." "It seems that way dear is everything ok?" She was bit concerned for her, travelling with that big taur might have caused a ruckus. "Yup, Cheetaur is here with me, having a great time." "That's good, we have Sabrina with us, the doctor said she could come out for the day." "Hey that's great news." "Yeah now we're at the apartment. Zig Zag has to come over here, if you want to come you're welcome, another set of eyes would be helpful looking for that will." "Sure I'll come with Zig although I pretty sure that Cheetaur will stay here. She's not really equipped to travel in a car." In fact she was sound asleep. "Ok tell Zig Zag we'll stay in the lobby to meet her." "Ok Mom will do, see you in a bit." The phone went dead and Endora turned the phone off. "They'll be here in about a half hour, it seems that Zig Zag took possession rather quickly. "It would seem so." said Margrette. What a day this has been, at least Sabrina seemed ok. Sabrina stared at her so called mother and thought, "What have I gotten my self into?" End of Chapter 8 I'm betting that Cheetaur gets to be front page news…………any takers. ;) |
