Epilogue 4
Endora slowly pulled the blanket back up over Swallow, who did not move or even take notice. All the while Endora had tears in her eyes, it was heart breaking. Margrette came in and rested her paw upon her dear friend's shoulder.
"No change, huh?" She looked at the unmoving figure of Swallow.
Sniff, "No, she was so brave."
"I know, she'll come back to you, I know it."
Endora stood and embraced her friend; it was times like these that she needed her. In a way they were more like sisters than friends. "I love her so much."
"I know." Endora had always been there for her and now it was Margrette's turn. She stroked Endora's back, hoping that she could ease the pain. She began to hum softly, it was something Endora did when she tried to relax. Margrette felt Endora's body shake as the full impact of everything that had happened released in the form of sorrow. Margrette stood strong and kept on humming to comfort a friend that meant more to her than the world.
Epilogue 5
Far away from the life of the Johnston's, White's and Mustelidae's something stirred. Far below the surface of a tranquil forest, stood a large cavern of water and earth. It was illuminated from its center by a glowing phosphorescent pod. At least 15 feet in length its eerie green glow cast shadows upon its sloped walls. Contained within this giant pod was a creature that hadn't roamed the earth for thousands of years. It was large, almost taking up the entire container that housed it. It was obviously female having 6 tits upon its chest. The body was a mass of muscles and its fur was dark. In many places bone protruded from the skin to form horns on many parts of its body. Its mammoth head had large teeth obviously designed for tearing flesh from bone. It had two large outer fangs protruding from the sides of its muzzle that looked extremely sharp. Each paw had three fingers and from the knuckles protruded large claws, curved and sharp, used for crippling and slicing. Her feet were massive and her tail had a club with spikes attached at the end of it. She was a creature of destruction and carnage. Her kind hadn't been seen in thousands of years and now this creature's eye's were open.
It struggled and tried to move but found it could not; then its eyes closed once again and something moved on one of the outer walls. On the walls were pods similar to the massive one in the center but ranged in size from small to large. They were interconnected to the main pod by hundred of tendrils all internally linking them. The pod that was moving however was smaller than all the rest. It began to tear from the inside out, a paw burst forth then and then a figure. It gagged and coughed spewing green and white liquid forth from its mouth. It was bright yellow and in many ways it resembled the creature in the main pod. It gasped for breath and finally its lungs were cleansed enough of the foul liquid to allow it to speak; although no one was there to hear.
"What the FUCK!"
