Markwhite (Markwhite) | Sunday, July 01, 2001 - 06:11 pm With that done they now knew what they could do with most of Aunt Sarah's stuff. Most of it would have to sold. She really couldn't send the furniture back home, so she offered it to Endora, Sabrina and her friends. What was left over was sold. They didn't get much for it but she couldn't keep it anyway. The jewelry was carefully packaged and she called the airports customs office. They suggested she come down before she flew home have them inspect and seal the jewelry. It was something that would take time. They did and everything went smoothly, airport security sealed the contents and gave her some papers. They were declarations of inheritance and it outlined how the items should be treated. She could open the bags but she would be detained in Canada for them to go through everything again if she did. It took them a few days to get the apartment cleared out and during that time Sabrina was released from the hospital. The doctors felt much better now about Sabrina's condition. They assumed that Sabrina was always a fast healer, some people were. Sarah's Funeral was a quiet affair and Margrette had her cremated. Her ashes were spread on the flower garden at the apartment complex. The gardens there were beautiful and Margrette hoped that Zig Zag would continue the tradition and retain the staff that kept it so. In those few days Cheetaur's bus finally got fixed and she was off. Not before she lent a paw and back cleaning up the apartment. She was extremely helpful and to her it was the least she could do in return for all the kindness put forward. She left her e-mail address and a special phone number to reach her personally. She was grateful to all of them for the use of the house and all the great meals. She said she would make it up to them big time. In the mail weeks later every one of them received coupons for free tires. Later Sabrina informed them that Cheetaur called and that Hal had torn up her contract and pleaded with her to sign a new one with him. Seems he had a visit from a very aggressive lawyer who told him he was going to be put in prison if he didn't tear up her contract. She had told him where to go of course. Zig Zag took over as her manager and got her a new gig with Cheetah Paw Tires, plus a nice raise in pay. They were happy to be able to work with a new manager, seems they had hated Hal for years. She also got some holiday time coming to her and use of the bus. She also said she would try to back track as soon as she could. She had a couple of more engagements scheduled then she would be on holiday. Kathren, Margrette and Sabrina all booked on the same flight back, it seemed logical. There wasn't much for them to stay for. They had taken a couple of days just to see some of the sights and to relax before the big trip home. Margrette had phoned Frank and told him all the news. He was impressed and told them he would be waiting for them at the airport. All was set for their return. Sabrina however wanted a few more days just to be with her sister. A Lexus pulled up into the driveway and gave a hoot. Sabrina gave her mother a kiss and told her she would be back a little later. The car was a beautiful sapphire blue with leather seats and the works. Her sister Sabrina looked very happy behind the wheel. She quickly got in and buckled her safety belt. "Well you look happy." She said. "Who wouldn't be driving one of these." Her eyes were sparkling and Sabrina noticed that she was practically drooling as well, she almost laughed. "I still can't believe Zig set me up with this car, it's fantastic. Zig owns one just like it and she even insisted that it had to be blue because she knows it's my favorite color. Its got everything under the sun and it has unlimited mileage. Just gas and go I just wish this could last forever." "It is pretty fantastic, your boss is something else. So, where are we going?" "We're going to see my boyfriend, it's a long drive but since you have a couple of days left before you go I thought it might be nice for you to really finally meet him." "That's true I haven't seen him, but from your descriptions he sounds nice. Aren't you afraid that I might steal him from you? We're practically the same person." "Oh no, I've got him hooked." She grinned. Sabrina grinned back at her sister, "Hope it's in deep." She gave her a poke and laughed. "You said we're going to be gone a couple of days maybe I should tell mom before I leave." "Already done, my Mom had to find out from your Mother just when you were going to book. She put a couple of more days on so we could go on this trip together. I wanted to really get to know you a bit more. We really didn't have a lot of time before the accident." "Yes unfortunately." "But it looks like we'll have some time now to catch up on things." Said Sabrina as they pulled out of the driveway. Sabrina got this wild look on her face, "This car will move!" "Really, lets see." "Here we go!" Sabrina gave the car some gas and it almost put the both of them in the back seat. Not only was it fancy on the inside it had some balls to go with it. The doorbell rang and Chris went to get it. As he opened the door he saw the love of his life in double. It was really funny seeing them together and he found himself wanting them both for a few moments. "Sabrina, you've been fruitful and multiplied!" He said with a big grin. "Cute Chris. Chris this is Sabrina Johnston really and truly this time. Sabrina this is Chris my fiancé." "Hi, haven't we met before", Sabrina Johnston winked and put out her paw in greeting. "Yeah, Yeah, didn't I see you in Canada last year." Chris winked back and shook her paw. "Ok you two, enough." "Sabrina has told me a lot about you." "All good things I hope." She turned and looked at her sister. "Never said a bad word once." She said eyeing the sky. "Now come in come in, let's sit and plan our evening." It was then that Chris spied the car behind them. "Sabrina did you win the lottery or sumpt'n?" His eyes were firmly fixed onto it. "Oh yeah, I'm a millionairess, kiss my paw." She smiled a big smile at him and presented her paw. He just continued to look at the car, "Really!" "No!" She said with disgust. "It's the car that Zig got for me on loan. Boy did she go over big time on it! Not that I mind though, it's a lovely car. You can drive it tonight wherever we go." "I like that idea." He said. He pictured himself behind the wheel and almost began to drool. Chris was happy as a clam to have two Sabrina's in his house, in fact it was fun. He had called his friend Dexter and his wife to see if they were busy this evening. They weren't and said come on over. Dexter wanted to meet Sabrina's twin sister, he was sure that Chris had been pulling his leg. They headed out to Dexter's house with Chris cheerfully behind the wheel. It was a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. He was driving a Lexus and he had two beautiful women with him in the car. Life was good! Chris had the air-conditioning on and the radio playing his favorite CD. Today was one of the best days of his life, it just couldn't get any better. God he wished he could afford this car. "How would both of you feel if we took a break and grabbed an ice cream before we get to Dexter's?" Chris felt parched and thought an ice cream was just the ticket. "Sure sounds good Chris anytime you can find a spot." Said Sabrina giving Chris a slight pinch on the leg. She blew him a kiss when his attention turned her way. "I know one not too far from here." "Sounds good." Sabrina Johnston said. "I think you must be a mind reader Chris I was thinking the same thing." "Well I've come close to performing miracles at work. Is that close enough?" "Good enough for me." Sabrina Johnston giggled from the back seat. Now she could see why her sister loved him so much. Time index Wednesday 25 August 2000 perfect, she thought. It had taken her and the computer months for it to spew this date and time where her Sister would be. Finally after all this time she would finally get to see her again. She took another slurp on her milk shake. The dog straw greatest invention under the sun she wished she had invented it. She checked her Chronometer for the exact time 'any time now' she thought. She peered out the window and saw a sapphire blue Lexus pull up and park. "Damn, not them she cursed under her breath." It just had to be the right place, it just had to be. The bell rung as the door was opened and she turned to see what type of rich folk just walked in. Her jaw hit the floor and she almost swallowed her tongue. There standing in the door was her sister and behind her was another just like her. 'What the hell!!!' She thought. This isn't possible! She checked her pulse and she was indeed still alive. The two women walked in and behind them came and neatly dressed fox. At least he was right she thought. She studied the two skunks and they were exactly a like. No not exactly, one wasn't wearing glasses. What had happened here? Did she inadvertently change time? This wasn't foreseen as a side effect. Maybe it was, she took out her portable scanner and did a quick scan making sure no one saw. She checked the readings again, there was a slight phase variance. That explained it, she wasn't in the right dimension. She was relieved but it meant this trip was for nothing. These two weren't her Sister's, although it was interesting how there were two of them. She wished she could find out how they came to be. Hmm seems nature is funny. It looked like she would have to wait a little longer, to see her true Sister. She picked up her shake and turned to leave but she tripped up on her tail and she fell. Her milk shake went flying through the air and right into Sabrina Johnston's face. She picked her self up and saw where her milk shake had landed. 'Oh no!' she thought. She got up and quickly moved over to the group. "Oh I'm so terribly sorry." She said. Sabrina was now trying to move out and get around to wipe some of the shake off her sister. "Yuck, Strawberry I hate Strawberry." Sabrina Johnston said with displeasure. "Here let me help. Let's get you to the washroom. The two women took Sabrina into the washroom. "I'm so sorry, I'm such a klutz sometimes." "It's ok accidents happen." Sabrina said. "You ok Sis." "Yeah lets wash this stuff out before it begins to get sticky." "Hi I'm Sabrina and this is my twin Sister, Sabrina." "You're twins and you have the same name?" Sabrina sighed " It's a long story." She thought about her own name and decided it wouldn't hurt to use it. "Hi I'm Tabitha." Sabrina and Sabrina just looked at each other. There was a strange silence. "Ah what did I say?" Tabitha said knowing that one of these women had a little sister named Tabitha. "That's our sisters name." They said in unison. Tabitha rubbed her head. "You have sister's with the same name as well." "As I said before long story." Sabrina said. They were able to get most of the shake out of her fur but her T-shirt was ruined and incredibly sticky. "Well what am I going to do now? I don't think they will allow topless patrons." Sabrina Johnston said. Tabitha had an idea, she had a coat on and a T-shirt underneath. "You can have my shirt, I would have had to buy you another one anyway." She removed the coat and shirt and the two women just stood there amazed. Wishing secretly that they had tits like hers. She handed Sabrina Johnston the shirt. "Terribly sorry." "It's ok, Tabitha and thanks for the shirt." "No problem it's the least I could do. I don't have far to go." Only the future she thought. "Well I have to get going take care of yourselves and watch out for flying milkshakes." "Will do, safe trip." Sabrina Johnston said. When Tabitha left the two of them spoke. "She looks awfully familiar." They said in unison. "Couldn't be." Again in unison. Suddenly they both bolted out of the door after her. Chris watched as the girls bolted passed him and out the door after Tabitha. He was about to follow but something told him that this was probably a private conversation. The girls caught up to Tabitha quite quickly. "Tabitha wait!" Sabrina called out. Tabitha stopped and turned around to see the two women running after her. "Hi again what brings you back." "We have a strange question to ask you?" "Ok fire away." Had they guessed she thought. "Ok this is gonna sound weird but are you our sister?" Said Sabrina. She was surprised that they had figured it out. But then again they were blood, in a round about way. Plus they did look very much a like. She debated in her mind about telling them then she decided that it would pose no harm. Who knows maybe this world's Tabithas would make time travel a reality as well. "That is indeed a weird question ladies but I will answer you. Yes and no." The two sisters just stood there in awe. "You are Tabitha, our little Sister?" "Well sort of. Not the Tabitha you know but a Tabitha from another place like this one." They were stunned, she did look a lot like little Tabitha the features were all there. It was what probably gave her away without her actually telling them. "How? Why? I have a million questions." The two Sabrina's said. "Me too but I don't have the time. I would love to answer them, all I can tell you is that I'm part of an experiment and me being here proves it works." "Top secret huh." Said Sabrina. "Yes very, but you now know what your little sister will look like all grown up." She smiled at the two, she really couldn't believe it. She wanted to see her sister so bad and now in front of her were two of them. "I cannot stay, it was nice seeing you." "Can you tell us why you came here?" Tabitha's smile momentarily faded. "Just to see someone I haven't seen in a long time." "Anyone we know of? We could tell them you were here." "Nobody that you know, it's ok I'll try again sometime. Good-bye ladies it was nice meeting you." She wasn't about to tell them that she was searching for her sister. It would have raised more questions. "Bye Tabitha safe journey, I hope you find the one you're looking for." They said together. "I do to." She waved and went behind the building. Suddenly there was a giant flash of light, they hurried around the back where they expected to find Tabitha but she was gone. "Ah that was weird, but you saw her right?" "Yup I saw and talked with her. Lets just keep this to ourselves It's too…ah.. just too weird." "Yeah!" Sabrina Johnston said at least I got a T-shirt from God only knows where." "Yeah now that is a collectors item." They both smiled and went back to Chris, it was about time they had something to eat they both felt famished. Dinner with Dexter and his wife was a real pleasure. The guys looked up in the paper to see if there was a movie they all would agree to see. They found a couple, however it was up to Dexter and his wife to have the final say. The movie was good and they stayed way longer at Dexter's home than they should have. They said their good-byes and wished them a good night. Chris could see that both of the girls were tuckered out and he was sure Sabrina and her sister wanted a little down time. At home Chris found that the two sisters were talking up a storm but he had no idea what they were talking about. He hoped that Sabrina's sister would be able to come back in the near future. He liked her very much, she reminded him of his own love of his life. "Do you have a computer Chris?" Inquired Sabrina Johnston. "Yup it's an older one but it gets me on the net." "Do you know much about them?" "I work with them almost everyday, what did you want to know?" "Well I have one at home but it's ancient, I doubt that it's capable of logging on the internet. So I was going to get another one and I was wondering what to purchase. I really don't know a lot about them. Sabrina said she was on the net and that we could talk to one another if I had a system that was compatible." "Well I can give you some options and you can ask a reputable dealer the cost of the system. You can really get some nice stuff now without having to spend thousands of dollars. But I will tell you that you won't find a good system under grand." "I had seen some of the prices and I knew that it would be at least that much. Maybe they could do something with mine. I'll take it in and see but I would be happy to have your list of suggestions to take with me back home." "No problem, lets see I think I have a book here of some computer stuff. One moment." He ran off in search of his book of systems. "You know him well, he loves computers." Sabrina said. "Well I remember you telling me he was and my computer is ancient. I will have to get a new one to be able to talk with you." "Yeah you're gonna need a modem." "Well I do know that my computer doesn't have one of those." Chris came back with his book and he went through some things, like what not to buy if your life depended on it. There was some stuff out there cheap and always a headache. They got a list together and she thanked him for taking the time to explain why these things he mentioned are good and why the others are not. Just before she turned in Sabrina had one last visitor to her room. The knock was light but Sabrina's keen ears heard it. "Come in." It was her sister and she had definitely been crying. "Sabrina what's wrong?" Sabrina jumped up and went to her sister's side and guided her to her bed. "I don't know everything has been so great, you, your boyfriend. Everybody has been so nice, I guess it's just everything happening at once. I just wanted to thank you for everything and I began to cry." "It's ok Sabrina everything is fine, you don't have to cry." "But it's just been so wonderful here with everyone, it's going to be hard to leave." "I know but we'll see each other again. Now that I know about you I'll want to come and see you." Sabrina's sister sniffed and tried to wipe her eyes. Sabrina grabbed a tissue and did it for her. "You've made quite a mess of yourself." "I know." She began to cry even more. Sabrina just let her go and held her. She had been through a lot. She got hit by a car, broke her arm, fell into a coma, almost drowned. It was all a bit too much and the dam finally burst. It was good that she came, it would make the trip home all the better. After her sister had calmed down a bit she took her back to her room and tucked her back in. Chris had vacated his room and set up on the couch. She was wondering how she was going to make it up to him. "I had a fun evening tonight Sabrina." "Me too sis." "Your boyfriend is a real charmer and he has wonderful friends." "I think so to." "You'll have to come and meet Max he's cute." "I'll do that for sure, you rest, tomorrow is another big day." "Ok, thanks Sabrina you're the best." "Thank you my new sister for being here with me." She smiled and kissed her on the forehead. It was a gesture she had done many times with Tabitha but she felt it was needed here. Sabrina's sister smiled at her and closed her eyes to begin a restful nights sleep. And she knew she wouldn't be dreaming of the Titanic for quite awhile, if ever. |
